"Working for a smaller county with limited resources, we sometimes struggle to provide high-quality development opportunities for our employees. When I first learned about Catching Leadership through a CCHR presentation, I was excited by the possibilities. From the start, Michael and Caitlyn were just great to work with. "I just thought I’d share I practiced the “power of the pause” today when talking with a coworker about rolling something out. Long of the short of it, he generally likes to bulldoze his opinion as the only way (and in this case he didn’t want to do anything) and feels he can since he’s been with us 40+ years and while what I was suggesting won’t completely fix what I am aiming to do, it’s a big step in the right direction. So I simply said “if we do this it will make their job easier tomorrow than it does today so why not do this?” And paused. And paused. It worked!
